What this is about
Another's decision can change your whole life. However, the consequences are yours to carry.
This is not a story of fighting back. This is a story of running. Of choices made in blinding fear and fleeting clarity. What choices will you make? More importantly, can you live with the consequences (or even survive them?)
Where The Light Once Was is a tense survival horror narrative carried by your decisions. Be warned - you pay in blood.
A tense, atmospheric horror experience about the weight of your final moments.

The story is written vividly from the POV of the animal. I really enjoyed how it described simple but powerful emotions in a way that allowed me as a player to merge with the protagonist. And kudos for staying true to the story when it comes to the end.
SPOILER WARNING
I liked the story! As soon as I understood that it was a deer whose red blood was dripping onto the white snow, I was hooked. I would have wished for more story branches or alternate endings, though. At times, I got stuck in a loop of hiding and freezing until I bled out.
Overall, I also think it’s cool that it basically always comes down to the same ending. Even if, deep down, I wish there was a way to save it.
Cool base story and nice visuals! Sadly it often hangs for me in a loop after clicking a button. Would have loved more variety in visuals and branching narrative as well :)
this should be fixed now with the latest version.
and yes, more branches would be fun! *-* currently tinkering if it's worth to invest some time to add some more.
I did not read the description before playing so the end caught me by surprise. Nice small story :)
very interesting with the timeline image moving as we navigate the adventure! I enjoyed the take!
